You can become a member of the Coop and enjoy all of the privileges and advantages membership has to offer! For only $10 – a one-time fee – you can share in the profits of our Coop through patronage dividends, paid annually. You do not need to be a member to shop our stores, of course, but by becoming a member you will enjoy savings and refunds! Remember, with your $10 fee, you will receive a $10 coupon good for your next purchase – so membership is actually FREE!
A cooperative is a user-owned and democratically controlled business. Members receive benefits in proportion to their use of the cooperative. A cooperative is a distinct form of business recognized as part of our private enterprise system. The fundamental difference between an investor-oriented corporation and a cooperative corporation is that benefits in a cooperative are distributed on the basis of use or patronage rather than on the amount of investment or stock owned. Cooperative members can be individuals, partnerships, corporations or other legal entities.
To achieve the desired benefits from the cooperative the members must use or patronize it. Using the cooperative is the member’s easiest responsibility and is critically important to its business success.
With your purchase of a membership, you will be assigned an account number. Please be sure the sales person puts this number on all your sales tickets to be sure all of your purchases will be posted to your account. This also is helpful to you in your year-end bookkeeping.
A membership is not a charge account. If you also desire a charge account, please click here to download our Member and Credit Applications.
